Chinese martial arts disciplines use a Kung Fu Sash to indicate the rank of a practitioner. These martial arts sashes are nearly 4 wide and some in a single length so you don't have to worry about sizing. Sashes are 118" long.

How to tie a kung fu sash
1: Hold the sash in front of your body at center. Find the sash center hold it in front of yourself
2: While holding an end of the sash in each hand, place the center of the sash on the center of your back. Grading marks should be toward the body
3: Pull the right end of the sash around your body so that you have a long end on the right and a short end on left
4: Pull right end (longer) of the sash under the left end, then pass it up through to start the bow knot. This knot should be moved to your left hip. Knot should be tight enough that it doesnt fall and loose enough not to constrict your waist
5: Smooth out any creases in the sash until it is as wide as possible
6: Clasp the short end of the sash between index and middle fingers of your left hand
7: Take the right end and place it over the back left arm above wrist
8: Using your right hand, grab the longer end of the sash from underneath your left hand and pull it gently to the right
9: Without moving your left hand, release the shorter end of the sash and clasp the longer end of the sash right above
