Okuma Snakehead Junky rods are built with light and responsive 24-ton carbon rod blanks and designed specifically for chasing Snakehead. These rods feature Okumas UFR rod tip technology making them stronger and lighter than standard carbon rods. This process blends unidirectional fiber over 24-ton carbon in the extended tip section of the rod to increase lifting strength and power by as much as 400%. This technology provides for the ultimate in strength without sacrificing sensitivity so that you can feel even the lightest of bites down deep. The components on the Snakehead Junky rods are built for durability in the harsh environments that snakeheads are found. They feature Sea Guide XO/XQ 316-stainless steel angled guide frames to reduce line twist. These guides hold Zirconium inserts that offer compatibility for both braid and monofilament lines. The rods also feature a tapered cork fore and rear grip with a rubber cork butt cap. A precision-placed stainless steel hook keeper comes standard on all models.
