The SnowPlak Snowshoes are a removable system that is intended to be used in conjunction with a mountaineering boot that is equipped with ice crampons. The SnowPlak Approach is designed to make walking on loose snow easier, while keeping the crampons attached to the feet. They should not be used without crampons. The efficiency of this patented concept is incomparable on steep slopes. Its exceptional grip will make you feel secure when crossing and descending. The side and front knives of the plate enter the snow layer when climbing and traversing. The technology of this snow shoe makes the heel plant very effective on all types of snow when descending. Its low position under the plate allows a natural and fluid walk in all circumstances on steep terrain. These compact and light snowshoes will easily fit in your day backpack. Safety: The SnowPlak should be used on soft snow and removed on hard snow and ice. We recommend that the SnowPlak Approach be used only on soft snow and in terrain configurations where crampon-only mode is not essential for safety. Only use snowshoes in their nominal range of use as recommended by the manufacturer and taught by mountain guides.
